Using laser technology and spinal anesthesia, a “large stone” was successfully removed from a patient in his thirties

A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in removing a large stone of 18 mm from a 35-year-old patient.
Urologist Uday Majeed Nassar, stated that

“The patient was suffering from a large right ureter stone with a diameter of 18 mm, which led to an increase in kidney function indicators.”

He adds: “We performed surgery on him using spinal anesthesia and under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Amir Al-Nouri to break up the stones with a laser through a ureteroscope.”
Dr. Nassar confirmed that

“The patient is now in very good condition.”
