Due to the shortage of medical services caused by the past economic blockade, and the unsettled political climate in the city of Karbala, there wasn’t a sufficient number of health centers and hospitals in the area.
Therefore, Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital started off as a charity project to assist local authorities in providing a complete healthcare system for the 1.5 million citizens and visitors of the province. As a result, Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital is considered one of the most important projects in the holy city of Karbala.
