A medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in performing a “prostate vaporization” procedure on a 70-year-old man who was suffering from a hernia and other health problems.
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Amir al-Araji, stated, “The patient suffered from an enlarged prostate gland for many years, which caused him problems with urination and prevented him from practicing his social life.”
He explains: “The patient’s health problems worsened after he suffered from a right and left inguinal hernia due to complications from an enlarged prostate gland.”
He adds: “After examination and joint work between urologists, internists, and anesthesiologists, as the patient also suffered from chronic asthma and obstruction in the respiratory tract, the medical team was able to perform a vaporization of the prostate gland and the closure of the right and left hernias under regional anesthesia, and the patient was discharged from the hospital in good health.”
