Medical team at IHH successfully resolves a patient’s disc herniation, overcoming previous refusals due to high body weight.
Dr. Issac Latouf, spinal surgeon, along with Dr. Hazem Moojid, neurosurgeon, successfully performed the operation, overcoming all challenges and difficulties, particularly the patient’s weight.
Dr. Isaaq Lattouf said: “The patient, 45 years old, from Baghdad, presented an exceptional case with a weight of 140 kilograms, which made his treatment challenging for other hospitals and doctors he previously consulted.”
He also added: “The patient visited our hospital suffering from extremely severe pain and limited mobility.”
Lattouf also confirmed that: “After a thorough examination and after conducting all necessary tests, it was found that the patient had herniated discs in vertebrae 4 and 5, as well as spinal stenosis in vertebrae 2, 3, and 4.”
The spinal surgeon confirmed that the surgery was successful, praise be to Allah.
