A specialized female medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital successfully treated a 38-year-old woman suffering from urinary obstruction and complaining of severe symptoms and pain.
Dr. Zahra Daher, urologist and urological surgeon at IHH, stated that “the patient was suffering from a kidney stone located in the upper ureter, which caused the obstruction in the urinary tract.”
She added: “The patient came to us with severe symptoms, intense pain, elevated body temperature, increased levels of kidney function, and elevated markers of blood inflammation.”
As for the technique to treat the case, the urologist confirmed that “a cystoscopy was performed, and a stent was placed in the ureter to stabilize the patient’s health condition.”
