Lebanese urologist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Mohammed Salama performed ureteroscopy to break down and remove 1.5 cm stones from a patient’s ureter. Dr. Salama stated that: The patient, who’s in her 60s, visited the hospital suffering from severe kidney pain and hydronephrosis due to an anatomical defect. After her medical examinations, she underwent ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy. He added: The patient also suffers from hypertension and diabetes but her condition was kept under control during the procedure and she’s now in good health.
