The Surgical Team Saves a Youngman’s Hand from Amputation

The medical team of orthopedic and plastic surgery at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, led by Dr. Haider Dhahir and Dr. Alaa Saheb, were able to prevent the amputation of a 17-year-old boy’s hand after suffering a road accident.

Dr. Haider Dhahir stated: “The patient arrived at the hospital in a critical condition. He had suffered an injury to the main nerve and the main artery of his right hand, as well as the flexor tendons of his wrist and fingers.”

The doctor also added: “Medical examinations were conducted and we immediately decided to admit the patient to the operating room. His surgery was successful.”
