Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital welcomed a pregnant woman in her 30s who opted for an epidural during labor despite suffering from chronic hypertension. Obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Taktum Al-Erabi stated that: “The biggest challenge in this delivery was administering the anesthetic to the patient, taking into consideration her health condition and the fact that she’s had five complicated births in the past. The anesthesia team, led by Dr. Abd Al-Ameer Noori, successfully overcame this challenge and the patient had an easy delivery, giving birth to a healthy baby boy who she named Ali.”
