The expert surgical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital successfully saved the life of a woman in her 50s who had suffered severe bleeding and tachycardia.
Obstetrician-gynecologist Nabeela Al-Yasiri stated that the patient underwent diagnostic curettage which revealed that she suffers from uterine cancer that had spread to the lymph nodes and pelvic region.
Dr. Al-Yasiri added: “We performed the surgery with the assistance of oncologists Ali Al-Meyali and Karrar Al-Musawi. The tumor was removed without any complications. The curettage biopsy was sent to the clinical laboratory.”
The doctor also reported: “The patient has chronic hypertension which created a challenge for anesthesiologist Abd Al-Ameer Noori, however, thanks to team effort the surgery was successful and the lady left the hospital after making a full recovery.”
