The Emergency Department at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital received a special case of a pilgrim from Basra. She showed signs of labor and after being examined by the physician, she was transferred to the operation room under the supervision of Dr. Taktum Al-Erabi.
The patient, who was in her 30s, suffered from anemia and a few minor problems. This put the surgical team in a challenging position to save the life of the mother and her baby.
After the surgery was performed successfully, the young woman gave birth to a girl whom she named (Ruqayah).
The family received a 60% discount on the hospital and doctor’s fees.
