A doctor at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital was able to treat a young man in his twenties who was complaining of inflammation and a deviated nasal septum, causing him shortness of breath.

Dr. Alia Amer Nasser, a specialist in ear, nose and throat surgery at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital, stated: “The patient, 23 years old, suffered from chronic sinusitis and nasal obstruction.”

Adding: “We conducted the necessary tests and CT scans and found a deviated nasal septum that caused the patient to have shortness of breath.”

And she added: “Based on the accurate diagnosis, we decided to perform endoscopic sinus surgery and correct the deviation.”

She confirmed that the young man was discharged from the hospital feeling better after the symptoms he had been complaining about before the surgery had disappeared.
