Our specialized medical team succeeded in removing a “partial tumor” from the kidney of a 50-year-old patient who was also suffering from chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.
The surgery was performed at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital by the most skilled doctors and the latest medical technologies.
The urologist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Riyad Rashid, stated: “If this procedure had been performed in a place other than Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, the doctors would have been forced to perform a major surgery, and they would have been forced to completely remove the tumor and the kidney together, after making a large incision in the abdomen, and this did not happen to us.”
He adds: “The advanced medical technology at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital greatly facilitated the operation as it was completed in a record time of only 20 minutes.”
He adds: “We succeeded in removing the tumor and partially removing the kidney to a size of (1 cm),” stressing that “partial removal of the kidney is more difficult as it requires great speed and high accuracy while having to close the renal artery.”
He also stated: “During this procedure, we exerted all the capabilities available to us, including speed and accuracy, and relying on an experienced and highly skilled medical team.”
Dr. Riyad Rashid confirmed that, “After the success of the operation, the patient remained under observation for 24 hours at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital and left in good health.”
