Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital received a case of a four-year-old child suffering from acute lower GI bleeding. After conducting lab tests and medical examinations, the surgical staff led by Dr. Rami Soubh decided to perform endoscopic surgery to diagnose the patient’s condition and treat his bleeding.
A polyp was discovered in the patient’s rectum. After its removal, the bleeding stopped completely. The child recovered thanks to Allah and the efforts of the expert staff at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital.
Dr. Rami stated that: “Polyps are small clumps of cells that are located inside the lining of the colon and have several types, some of which may be benign, but others may turn into colon cancer over time.”
