With advanced technology… renal stones removed for 60-year-old woman at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital

Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital in Holy Karbala announced the success of an operation to remove kidney stones from a sixty-year-old patient without the need for surgery.
The hospital’s media department rep. stated that

“Doctors in our hospital, under the supervision of urology specialist Dr. Riyad Rashid, were able to perform a successful operation to remove kidney stones for a 60-year-old woman from Basra Governorate.”

He adds:

“Doctors used laparoscopic technology, which is a non-surgical procedure that allows stones to be removed without the need for traditional surgery.”

He pointed out that

“The patient was transferred to the surgery department after she was diagnosed with a 5cm stone in her left kidney, which led to severe pain and health problems.”

According to the media department

“The specialized medical team determined the size and location of the stones using X-ray imaging and then decided to use the laparoscopic technique to remove them.”
