A specialized medical team at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in removing “fibrous knots” from the uterus of a young woman in her thirties who was complaining of severe pain during her menstrual cycle and noticeable abdominal bloating.
Immediately, Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital formed a specialized medical team consisting of Dr. Taktam Sakhr, a gynecology and obstetrics specialist, and Dr. Zuhair Saleh Al-Badr, a general surgery specialist, in order to accurately diagnose the condition and take the necessary measures.
Dr. Taktam Sakhr stated, “The 30-year-old patient suffered from severe pain during her menstrual cycle with bleeding, and she also complained of noticeable abdominal bloating, even though she was not married.”
After conducting the necessary examinations and tests at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital, it was found that there were fibrous nodes on the uterus, according to the obstetrician and gynecologist.
Regarding the surgical procedure, Dr. Taktum confirmed that “during the operation, we removed approximately (10) fibrous nodes on the uterus that the patient was complaining from.”
Adding: “Thanks to the expertise of the medical staff, we were able to remove all knots while preserving the uterus so that the young woman can lead her life normally, praise be to Allah.”
