A specialized medical team at the Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital was able to remove a tissue tumor in a sixty-year-old man during a complex operation using modern techniques inside the hospital.
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Riyad Rashid, confirmed the success of the operation.

“We removed the kidney and the ureter through laparoscopy for the 65-year-old patient.”

Dr. Rashid stated:

“The patient was suffering from a tissue tumor in the left kidney that required a radical removal of the kidney, ureter, and part of the bladder.”

Adding:

“The problem lies in the patient’s inability to tolerate general anesthesia, as he was suffering from heart failure.”

He explains:

“The decision was made to perform a kidney and ureter removal through laparoscopic surgery under regional anesthesia, under the supervision of Dr. Abdel Amir Nouri.”

Dr. Rashid pointed out that

“The surgery was extremely dangerous and is considered a special operation, but it was completed successfully, and it took approximately an hour and 15 minutes.”

The urology specialist confirmed that the patient was discharged from the hospital 48 hours after his condition improved.
