With the attendance of Ayatollah Murtadha Al-Qazweeni, Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital opened the open-heart surgery unit under the supervision of Dr. Yasir Abd Al-Jabbar, the head of the Cardiac Surgery Department at Ibn Al-Bittar Hospital, and his expert team.
The media department reported that when all the medical and technical requirements were fulfilled, the IHH administration decided to open the unit with the leadership of specialized physicians.
The two first open-heart surgeries were free-of-charge and they were performed for a man and a woman in their 40s. Both surgeries were successful, thanks to Allah and the great efforts of the surgical staff.
