Our media department has recently reported the case of a 30-year-old pregnant woman with hypoparathyroidism and severe calcium deficiency, presenting to Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital for an emergency Cesarean delivery. The surgical team, consisting of obstetrician and gynecologist Dr. Taktum Sakhar Al-Erabi, anesthesiologist Dr. Osama Ali Issa, and internist Dr. Akram Abd Al-Hassan, succeeded in saving the patient’s and her child’s life.
Dr. Taktum Al-Erabi stated: “We had to perform an emergency C-section. The patient, as well as the newborn, are in good health now.”
