Doctors at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital were able to perform a pelvic reconstructive surgery on a 14-year-old girl.
Dr. Riyad Rashid, a urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, stated:

“The patient was suffering from a congenital stricture above the right ureter with severe dilatation of the kidneys.”

He adds:

“The surgery was performed by laparoscopy, and it took an hour and a half, during which the stricture was released and the renal pelvis was expanded.”

Dr. Rashid pointed out that

“The patient was discharged from the hospital and is in good health. Her condition was followed up and she is now in excellent health.”
