Our specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital succeeded in performing a cesarean section for a critically ill case of a young woman with heart problems, requiring cautious treatment.
Dr. Maryam Rajeh, obstetrician and gynecologist at IHH, said that “The 18-year-old patient was admitted for a cesarean section while suffering from pulmonary valve stenosis and mitral valve prolapse, along with other heart issues.”
She added: “The case required extreme caution, especially since such conditions pose a difficult challenge for the anesthesiologist.”
And she added: Anesthesiologist, Dr. Zaid Al-Mousawi, successfully anesthetized the patient using local anesthesia techniques. The delivery was carried out successfully, and both the newborn and the mother are in good health, praise be to God.
All similar procedures for women are performed by a specialized female medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital using the latest medical technologies that the hospital is renowned for.
