A young man in his forties survived a sudden severe heart attack after visiting the emergency department at Imam al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital.
The patient came to our hospital emergency room and was suffering from severe chest pain, according to cardiologist Hussein Al-Kurdi.
Dr. Al-Kurdi explains: “After conducting an ECG, it was found that there was a heart attack.”
He adds: “The necessary treatment was given in the emergency department and the patient was transferred urgently to the cardiac catheterization department. When the diagnostic catheterization was performed, it was revealed that there was an almost complete blockage in the right artery of the heart.”
The cardiologist confirmed that “a therapeutic catheterization was performed with a balloon and a net placed on this artery, after which the patient was transferred to intensive cardiac care to monitor his continued improvement.”
