A medical team at Imam al-Haujjah Charitable Hospital ended the suffering of an elderly man with “chronic renal colic” as a result of the accumulation of stones in the kidney.

The supervising physician, Dr. Ali Abu Tahin, a urology specialist, stated: “The patient was suffering from chronic renal colic due to the presence of staghorn calculi in the kidneys.”

He adds: “The 83-year-old patient suffers from a rapid heartbeat and high blood pressure.”

The doctor pointed out that “the laparoscopy was performed under general anesthesia administered by Dr. Firas Abbas, and the stone was completely removed (through the kidney laparoscope). The operation was crowned with complete success through the efforts of the medical, health and nursing team in the operating room.”
