📌 1) Knee arthroscopy:
Knee arthroscopy is used to diagnose and treat many diseases and injuries that affect the knee joint, including:
– Meniscus injury.
– Anterior and posterior cruciate ligament.
– Cutting the internal tendons of the joint.
– Cartilage erosion, ulcers, and determining the degree of joint roughness.
– Cartilage stabilization operations.
– Removing moving objects using the endoscope.
– Curettage of the synovial membrane in cases of chronic inflammation of the synovial membrane.
Surgical laparoscopy is characterized by the small size of the wound, does not affect the muscles surrounding the knee joint, rapid rehabilitation, and quick return to work.
📌 2) Shoulder arthroscopy :
Shoulder arthroscopy is used successfully to perform the following surgeries:
– Surgery for the tendons of the rotating muscles in the event that they are partially or completely cut.
– Expansion operations around the rotator cuff tendon in case of suffocation.
– Operations to expand the other joint of the shoulder in the event of roughness or tendon suffocation.
– Atresia of the tendons and the covering membrane in the case of recurrent or infrequent joint dislocation.
The shoulder arthroscope is used as an auxiliary tool in many other operations to improve the view inside the joint and thus improve the result.
