Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital in Holy Karbala commemorated World Mental Health Day by organizing a scientific lecture on the impact of addiction on mental health, delivered by Dr. Jaafar Al-Qarghli, a specialist in neurological, social and psychological diseases.
The lecture, which was held inside Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, witnessed the participation of a group of specialists and those interested in mental health.
In part of his lecture, Dr. Jaafar Al-Qarghli touched on the dangers of drug and alcohol addiction and their direct impact on mental health.
He also provided advice on ways to deal with addiction and recover from it, emphasizing the role of family and friends in the recovery journey.
The hospital administration also mentioned that the aim of this scientific lecture is to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and the direct impact of addiction in destroying the health of the individual and society in general.
