A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in removing a cancerous tumor from the kidney of a 60-year-old patient, using advanced techniques in the hospital.
Urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Riyad Rashid, stated: “Through laparoscopy, we performed a partial removal of the left kidney due to the presence of a cancerous tumor.”
He explains: “This surgery is very difficult and delicate due to the risk of sudden bleeding or injury to nearby organs.”
Dr. Rashid continued: “But thanks to the trained medical and nursing staff and advanced equipment in the operating theaters of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, and the assistance of the anesthesiologist Dr. Abdul Amir al-Nouri, the surgery was performed without complications and the patient was discharged in good health.”
