The medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital successfully treated a man in his 50s suffering from severe abdominal pain. General surgeon Ammer Mohammed Al-Masoodi stated: “We conducted the necessary medical examinations and we discovered that the patient had a large pancreatic pseudocyst (13x14cm) which was pressuring the surrounding organs.”
Dr. Al-Masoodi added: “The patient was admitted to the operating room for surgery. The cyst developed as a result of Recurrent Acute Pancreatitis. This happens in 20% of RAP cases. The cyst was removed with laparoscopy and the surgery was successful.”
