Dr. Shahla Al-Taee, the representative of the Iraqi Accreditation System (IQAS), confirmed during her recent visit to Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital that the Clinical Laboratory Department still maintains the quality requirement of the ISO accreditation it received back in 2020. Dr. Al-Taee revealed to our Media Department that IQAS has been following up on the internal audit of quality control at the IHH lab. The results of the internal and external quality control, which is done in collaboration with Randox Laboratories Limited – UK, show that the Clinical Laboratory of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital has participated in a comparison with 48,000 laboratories from around the world during the 63rd and 64th competitions, and has received excellent reviews.

Dr. Al-Taee added: “We commend the laboratory management, represented by Dr. Fatin Hasim and Dr. Sajida Abu Al-Maali, for their great efforts in ensuring the accuracy of the test results, and also the hospital administration for supporting the laboratory staff and supplying them with the latest technology.”
