The surgical staff at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital -led by urologist Dr. Abbas Fadel, anesthesiologist Dr. Abd Al-Ameer Noori, and anesthetist Ahmed Wasfi Muhammad- supervised the case of a 77-year-old patient who suffers from an enlarged prostate and urinary retention for over two weeks. The medical examination revealed that the patient had three bladder stones and his prostate 200 CC in size. The fact that the patient suffers from hypertension, diabetes, and stroke became a major challenge for the surgical team, especially the anesthesiologist, as the surgery was performed under general anesthesia and with close follow-up by the staff at the operating room who successfully managed to remove the prostate and stones without any complications. The patient left the hospital after gaining full recovery.
