The obstetrics and gynecology staff at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital performed a high-risk surgery for a 20-year-old woman suffering from pulmonary embolism and needing an emergency C-section. Dr. Taktum Al-Erabi who supervised the surgery stated that: “The young woman underwent an urgent Cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia, administered by anesthesiologist Dr. Osama Ali Issa. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The mother stayed in the ICU on the first day after surgery and was discharged the next day. She’s in good health now.”
