A medical team specialized in urology at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in performing a complex surgery on a 60-year-old patient who was suffering from recurrent bladder infections, difficulty urinating, and lack of control over urine (urinary incontinence).
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Haider Al-Qadi, stated that the patient

“He had previously undergone several operations and taken many treatments to no avail.”

He explains:

“He was initially diagnosed with benign prostatic hyperplasia, and a diagnostic endoscopy was performed to find out the cause of the symptoms.”

He adds:

“Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital was chosen to provide all surgical tools for the urinary tract.”

Dr. Al-Qadi pointed out that

“The endoscope showed the presence of multiple fibroids and a narrowing in the urethra below the bladder. The stricture was opened and expanded using a urethroscope.”

The urology specialist continued by saying:
“We discovered the presence of large stones in the bladder, which were removed with an endoscope from the body’s natural openings without the need for any surgical opening.”
Dr. Al-Qadi explained that

“Part of the enlarged prostate was removed using the bipolar resection of the prostate technique, which facilitated the operation.”

He confirmed that the patient was discharged without pain or bleeding.
