Our specialized medical team here at IHH succeeded in ending a sixty-year-old woman’s suffering from kidney stone pain and complications after a skillful operation. The patient was able to leave the hospital after just 24 hours. Dr. Yahya Al-Khaffaji, urologist and kidney surgeon, stated that the 67-year-old patient had chronic conditions, including hypertension and diabetes, and was suffering from a large kidney stone. He says: “The stone was about 6.5 cm in size and almost occupied most of the kidney.” He adds: “The surgery was performed under the supervision of anesthesiologist Dr. Abdulameer Nouri, and the stone was crushed and removed through a one-centimeter incision in the skin.” Dr. Al-Khaffaji noted that “The patient left the hospital within 24 hours after her condition improved and she is now in good health.”
