Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital hosted students from the College of Pharmacy on a scientific field visit, as part of its ongoing efforts to support academic development and strengthen collaboration between healthcare and educational institutions, contributing to the preparation of pharmacists with both scientific knowledge and practical experience.
The visit included a guided tour across various hospital departments, where students were introduced to the nature of clinical work and the medical services provided to patients. They also observed the latest equipment and technologies used in delivering comprehensive, round-the-clock healthcare.
In addition, the students were familiarized with pharmacy operations within the hospital—from medication dispensing and prescription monitoring to handling different medical cases—highlighting the essential role of pharmacists within the healthcare system.
The tour was supervised by pharmacist Tamara Shakir, who provided a detailed explanation of the daily responsibilities within the hospital pharmacy and the coordination mechanisms with medical staff to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
This visit is part of a series of scientific activities regularly organized by the hospital, aimed at supporting students’ academic journey and offering them direct exposure to real clinical environments, ultimately enhancing their skills and preparing them effectively for the professional workforce.
