On Sunday, January 18, 2026, Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital organized a specialized scientific lecture in its auditorium titled “Time is Brain”, highlighting the critical importance of time in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hassanein Raouf Al-Maliki, a specialist in neurology and brain and spinal cord medicine. He emphasized the decisive role of rapid intervention in stroke cases, noting that even a delay of a few minutes can result in the loss of a large number of neurons, accompanied by potentially permanent neurological complications.

Dr. Al-Maliki also discussed the importance of prompt referral, accurate diagnosis, and early therapeutic intervention, stressing their direct impact on improving recovery chances and reducing long-term disability among patients.
The lecture was attended by a significant number of medical and healthcare staff, as well as interested individuals, in an interactive scientific setting aimed at raising medical awareness and reinforcing the concept of rapid response in neurological emergencies.
This lecture is part of the hospital’s ongoing scientific activities series, reflecting its continuous efforts to enhance medical knowledge, improve healthcare performance, and ultimately save lives while elevating the quality of patient care.
