A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in performing surgery on a 40-year-old patient who had been suffering from urinary tract problems for more than 5 years.
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Amir al-Araji, stated:
“The patient was suffering from urination problems, and lower urinary tract symptoms, including a burning sensation, difficulty urinating, recurrent infections, and nighttime discomfort from frequent urination.”
He explains:
“The patient tried to get rid of his suffering by visiting several doctors, but did not notice any improvement.”
He confirmed:
“Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the patient, including x-rays, a urine flow device, and laboratory tests.”
Dr. Al-Araji explained that
“Examinations revealed a narrowing in the urethra, a high bladder neck, and an enlargement of the prostate area, in addition to two obstructions in the urethra.”
The urology specialist confirmed that the operation was performed successfully. He explains:
“During the operation, we were able to open the stricture in the urethra, scrape out the prostate and the bladder neck area using modern devices, and the patient was discharged from the hospital after his health condition improved.”
