3-Month-Old Girl Undergoes Surgery for Congenital Renal Malformation

A 3-month-old girl underwent surgery at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital to repair the malformation in her right kidney. The media department of the hospital reported that the baby had been suffering from continuous crying and discomfort since birth. Her medical examinations revealed that she was suffering from a blockage in her right kidney. Urology surgeon Ameer Al-Araji explains: “We performed surgery to repair the patient’s right kidney and the top of her right ureter. This type of procedure requires a high level of precision and skill. Praise be to God, the surgery was very successful.” Renowned anesthesiologist Abd Al-Ameer Noori and the expert nursing staff of IHH contributed greatly to the success of the procedure, and the little girl was discharged after making a full recovery.
