Specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital successfully treated a young man who suffered a severe injury during a fight, resulting in a fracture in the trachea bone, a torn patellar tendon, and damage to the surrounding tissues.
Dr. Abbas Salman, orthopedician, mentioned that “A 19-year-old young man suffered an injury from a sharp weapon during a fight, resulting in a complete tear of the patellar tendon along with a fracture at the upper end of the tracheal bone.”
Dr. Abbas adds: “The surgery was performed with complete success by our medical team consisting of assistant surgeon Ali Al-Tamimi, nurse Mohamed Hamza, and our specialized anesthesia team.”
The orthopedician further added that: “We performed an internal fixation for the fracture and repaired and sutured the completely severed tendon and adjacent tissues, restoring them to their natural state. As a result, the patient’s condition returned to normal.”
