The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital received an emergency case of a young woman in her 30s suffering from ruptured uterine tissue as a result of three previous cesarean sections. Obstetrician-gynecologist Enas Mudhafar stated that the patient presented to the hospital with labor pain so we labeled her as an emergency. After taking all the necessary tests, we confirmed that she needs a C-section to save her and the baby’s life.
Dr. Enas added: “The surgery took about an hour and a half, and we discovered adhesions in the uterus or uterine rupture caused by three previous Cesarean births. We repaired and stitched the uterus and saved the baby’s life. The mother and her newborn were discharged in good health.”
Dr. Enas Mudhafar is available at the outpatient clinic every Tuesday and Wednesday.
