A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital used an advanced device to treat a young man who was suffering from “varicocele,” which causes poor sperm and testosterone production.
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Yahya Al-Khafaji, stated:
“The patient is a young man suffering from a varicocele in the left testicle. The operation was performed using a surgical microscope and it was successful.”
He adds:
“The surgical microscope provided by Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital has a magnification feature of up to 30 times, which helps the surgeon preserve the arteries feeding the testicle during the operation.”
Dr. Al-Khafaji considered that
“This operation is one of the advanced and qualitative operations in the treatment of varicocele and contributes to reducing complications.”
He explains:
“In the operation, we used the spinal anesthesia technique under the supervision of the anesthesiologist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Muhammad Ali Muhammad.”
He confirmed that
“After the operation was performed and its success, the patient left the hospital six hours later and in good health.”
