A sixty-year-old woman was saved from imminent death after her heart stopped multiple times due to the accumulation of blood clots in the right artery of the heart. The rescue was achieved through the intervention of a medical team from Al-Imam Al-Hujjah (AJ) Charitable Hospital.
Cardiologist and interventional treatment specialist, Dr. Hussein Al-Sha’bi, also mentioned: “We received a lady in her sixties in the emergency department who was suffering from an acute heart attack.”
He adds: “After completing the necessary emergency procedures, an urgent diagnostic catheterization was performed, revealing a significant number of blood clots in the right artery. During the catheterization, the patient’s heart stopped multiple times due to the weakness of the artery.”
He adds: “Multiple cardiopulmonary resuscitations were made, and afterward, two stents were placed in the artery to open it, and anticoagulants were administered to prevent further blood clotting.
And after two days of observation, the patient was discharged in good condition, praise be to Allah.”
