A man in his 40s presented to the emergency department of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital with acute chest pain. His ECG and clinical examination revealed that he was suffering from a heart attack. The patient was immediately sent to the cath lab where interventional cardiologist Hussein Al-Chaabi performed an emergency diagnostic catheterization. The procedure showed a total occlusion in the left anterior descending artery (LAD). Two mesh placements were successfully made despite the level of the complexity and risk due to the importance of LAD in supplying the heart muscle. The patient is currently making a fast recovery and will be discharged from the hospital soon.
