The cardiology and catheterization team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital rescued a 60-year-old woman who presented to the emergency department suffering from a cardiac arrest. Her test results revealed that her right coronary artery was 95% clogged while the posterior artery was 75% clogged. Interventional cardiologist Emad Marji (Lebanon) stated: “The patient was suffering from a massive stroke and severe hypotension. Angioplasty was performed using more than one balloon and Aggrastat. Two meshes were inserted to open the arteries. Dr. Marji added: “The surgery was successful and the patient started to recover immediately afterward.” The woman’s family was overcome with joy upon hearing the good news.
