A medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in saving the life of a patient in his sixties who had suffered a severe heart attack that forced him to be admitted to the hospital.
The patient came to the emergency department suffering from nausea and severe dizziness, according to Dr. Hussein Al-Kurdi, a specialist in cardiology and catheter therapy at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital.
Dr. Al-Kurdi stated that:

“After the necessary emergency procedure, the ECG showed a sharp decrease in the heart rate, reaching 30 beats per minute, with a sharp drop in blood pressure.”

He confirmed that the medical team immediately decided to install an external battery to restore the pulse to normal, and the operation was completed successfully.
According to the cardiologist: ..

“After the patient’s condition stabilized, his family was consulted to perform an urgent diagnostic catheterization.”

He confirms:

“The family agreed to perform the catheterization, and after it was performed, it became clear that there was a complete blockage in the right artery of the heart.”

Dr. Al-Kurdi explained that

“A therapeutic catheterization procedure was performed to expand the blocked artery using a balloon and a mesh. The patient was then transferred to the cardiac care department, where the external battery was removed after his health condition stabilized.”

He confirmed

“The patient was discharged from the hospital and is improving.”
