A 36-year-old young man suffers a heart crisis due to a complete blockage of the descending aorta. After being rushed to the Emergency Department at IHH, the condition was discovered.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Haidari, cardiologist at IHH, mentioned that “The patient arrived at the hospital in an emergency condition and was urgently transferred to the Catheterization Unit during the night.”
Dr. Ahmed Al-Haidari confirmed that: “During the diagnostic catheterization, a complete blockage in the descending artery was discovered.”
He also mentioned that: “A therapeutic catheterization was performed, and a balloon and stent were placed in the blocked artery.” Confirming the successful completion of the procedure.
The cardiologist adds: “The patient was monitored in the cardiac care unit for 24 hours. He was discharged afterward in good health.”
