A man in his seventies was able to overcome a severe heart attack after undergoing a successful cardiac catheterization at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital.
Dr. Hussein Al-Chaabi, a specialist in cardiology and catheter therapy at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, stated, “The patient visited the cardiology clinic in our hospital, and was complaining of severe chest pain and severe fatigue upon exertion.”
He explains: “We conducted an ECG, the necessary tests, and then a diagnostic catheterization, and we discovered that there was an almost complete blockage in the anterior left artery and an 80% blockage in the posterior left artery.”
Dr. Al-Chaabi added: “We decided to perform a therapeutic catheterization at the same time and place a mesh in each artery.”
He confirmed that: “The patient was discharged after monitoring his health condition in cardiac care for 24 hours, and he is in good health now.”
