The obstetrics and gynecology specialist at Imam al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in removing a cyst on the ovary of a thirty-year-old patient, discovered during a cesarean section.
Obstetrician and gynecologist, Dr. Batoul Al-Sultani, said: “At Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, we performed a cesarean section for a patient in her thirties and discovered the presence of a cyst the size of (1 cm) on the mother’s right ovary.”
And she added: “This is the patient’s third caesarean section, and the cyst was removed while preserving the ovary and tube.”
Dr. Al-Sultani indicated that the surgery was performed successfully and without any complications. The delivery was also successful and the patient gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
