A specialized medical team at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital succeeded in removing a tumor from the right adrenal gland of a 65-year-old patient.
The urology specialist at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Dr. Riyad Rashid, stated that
“The tumor, which was 6-7 cm in diameter, was removed by laparoscopy.”
He explains:
“The operation took about an hour and a half under general anesthesia, and the patient’s condition is stable.”
He adds:
“The operation for an adrenal gland tumor, especially on the right side, is considered a complex surgery.”
He confirms:
“The operation was carried out smoothly and without any complications.”
