On World Blood Donor Day Imam Al-Hujjah Charitable Hospital in Karbala organizes a blood donation campaign with the slogan “Donate Blood and Make the World Beat with Hope”. in collaboration with Karbala Health Department / Blood Bank Division A blood donation campaign will be held on Wednesday, 14th June 2023, on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day. from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The campaign aims to contribute to the governments’ blood bank with the required amounts of blood to serve the public good.
Donate and save a patient’s life by visiting the Emergency Department at Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, Mudara district, Rasool street.
Criteria for blood donation:
Age: 18 – 68 years old.
Weight: 50 Kgs.
HB test for men: 13.5 – 17.4, and for women: 12.5 – 16
PCV for men: 42% – 54%, and for women: 40% – 50%.
Systolic pressure: 120 – 180.
Diastolic pressure: 70 – 100.
Body temperature: no more than 37.5
Number of donations for men: no less than 3 months, and for women: no less than 4 months.
