The health condition of a 46-year-old patient improved after he suffered a severe heart attack and weakness in the heart muscle, forcing him to visit Imam al-Hujjah Hospital in Holy Karbala.
Dr. Hussein Al-Kurdi, a specialist in cardiology and catheter therapy at the Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital, stated:
“The patient suffered a severe heart attack, so he visited us for treatment last November, and we performed a therapeutic catheterization on him in an emergency to open the artery that was blocked at that time.”
He adds:
“During the ultrasound examination, it was found that there was a very significant weakness in the heart muscle, as it was working at only 35%.”
The cardiologist and catheter therapy specialist continued:
“We referred the patient again to Imam al-Hujjah Hospital for follow-up with the cardiologist and catheter treatment specialist in our hospital, Dr. Sami Saad, and after performing the echo examination, it was found that there was a noticeable improvement in the heart muscle and it began to function at a rate of 50% due to the treatment and the opening of the artery at the appropriate time to save Patient’s life.
