Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital received a case of a man in his 60s from the city of Basra. He had a 6 cm kidney stone and heart failure. After performing all the necessary medical tests, the surgical team of Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital decided to perform a laparoscopy, taking into consideration the patient’s high blood pressure.

Urology surgeon Yehya Al-Khafaji explains: “With a high-precision laparoscopic surgery, we were able to remove the renal calculi successfully. The medical team, especially anesthesiologist Abd Al-Ameer Nori, put great effort into stabilizing the patient’s health condition throughout the hour-and-a-half procedure.”
