Our medical team put forth their best effort to save the life of a 70-year-old man who presented to Imam Al-Hujjah Hospital with acute chest pain. Interventional cardiologist Ali Tfaili stated that the patient was suffering from chronic total occlusion (CTO) in the anterior aorta that could result in cardiac arrest at any minute. The severe aortic calcification was a great challenge during the patient’s treatment, however, we performed diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization and mesh placement successfully, and the patient is recovering smoothly now.
